Applications

The iron removal effect of potassium fluotitanate in magnesium smelting:

Through thermodynamic calculations, the feasibility of potassium fluotitanate (K2TiF6) in removing iron during the magnesium smelting process was demonstrated; the effects of the adding method and amount of K2TiF6 as well as the melting temperature and standing time on the iron removal effect during the magnesium smelting process were studied. The results show that reducing the MgO content in the magnesium liquid and increasing the temperature of the magnesium liquid are beneficial to improving the iron removal effect of K2TiF6. When using K2TiF6 to remove iron at 780°C, when adding K2TiF6 with a titanium content of 0.3% to 0.4% of the mass of the magnesium liquid , leaving it for 20 minutes can reduce the iron content of magnesium from 0.028% to 0.004%.

Storage

Keep away from fire and heat sources.

Potassium titanate is a flammable substance and should be stored away from fire and heat sources. Fire and heat sources may cause fire or explosion. Potassium titanate should be stored away from open flames, electrical equipment, heating devices, etc., and clear fire prevention signs should be set up.

Packing

1. Sealed packaging
Potassium titanate should be packaged in a sealed package to prevent it from coming into contact with moisture, oxygen and other substances in the air and causing oxidation, moisture absorption and other reactions. You can choose to use plastic bags, plastic barrels, iron barrels and other sealed containers for packaging, and ensure that the packaging is intact.
For example, desiccants, such as silica gel, calcium chloride, etc., can be added to the packaging container to absorb moisture in the air and maintain a dry environment inside the packaging.

2. Clear identification
The packaging should be clearly marked with product name, specifications, production date, shelf life, manufacturer and other information to facilitate management and use. At the same time, storage precautions should also be marked, such as moisture-proof, fire-proof, and keeping away from fire sources.
For example, relevant information can be clearly marked on the packaging using labels or printing to facilitate operator identification and compliance.
